How do you beat Isshin easily? ›

If you killed Filinn (Sekiro's father), then you must go to the original palace and kill the Divine Dragon, then return to Kuro's room. From there you must get to the boss fight at the beginning of the game, when Sekiro lost his arm. This is where Isshin will appear after defeating his grandson.

After almost 3 years, only 31% of steam players have defeated Isshin.

Isshin is definitely the hardest boss I've encountered - but for you that might be Radahn. He's definitely aggressive - but there are some spaces to regain stamina especially if you have the fingerprint shield and green turtle talisman - and he's pretty susceptible to bleed builds.

This two-part battle made the ending of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice almost impossible for some fans. In his youth, Isshin is far faster than the Ashina version of the character, and he hits hard enough to take Wolf out of the fight pretty quickly.

It's amazing how people find different bosses difficult in all the souls games. In every list of Sekiro's boss rankings, Isshin the Sword Saint was supposed to be the hardest. I was pumped.

That, and the game's incredible difficulty, likely turned off many onlookers curious about the game. Unlike Elden Ring and its DLC, there isn't the option of builds, summons, and "cheese tactics" outside of stealth, which wouldn't work for most bosses.

It has no consequence on any if the endings. You can give one of each type of sake to either Emma, Sculptor and Isshin. Each will give a different content of conversations. Giving sake to anyone is optional and in fact reveals very few details, and does not influence game progress in any way.

Isshin is based on Ashina Moriuji (芦名 盛氏), and the samurai general, Shuzen Tamura who was slain by Isshin in the intro is inspired by the Tamura Clan (田村氏), and he could be loosely inspired by Tamura Takaaki (田村崇顕,)--- the conflict between the Ashina and Tamura clan did exist in history.
